PMIC codes are assigned by the Item Manager; they are found in the FED LOG system and are required to be on the turn in documents.

  A                  Item does not contain precious metal

  C                  Item contains two or more precious metals

  G                  Item contains gold

  P                  Item contains platinum family metals

  S                  Item contains silver

  U                  Precious metal type is unknown

  V                  Precious metal type varies between manufacturers
